Conversant vs. Manila

Being involved with “Conversant”…I have generally agree with my boss, Seth Dillingham, that a direct comparison between Manila ( Userland’s CMS for Frontier ) and Conversant ( Macrobyte’s Groupware Platform on Frontier ) was unnecessary, though many have asked for it.

Well, Seth’s taken off the kid gloves, as it were on his site, Truer Words. If you’ve used either of these products, please join in the discussion.

Mind you I see good points on both sides. There’s no doubt the Conversant puts far more power in your hands than Manila, there’s really no comparison…but Dave is right that not everyone wants that power. My wife Katie is very happy with Manila, and finds Conversant somewhat intimidating to use…I, and most others with previous web experience, welcome the power that Conversant offers.
