Hate/Hate Relationships

I’ve had an on-going hate/hate relationship with E-mail clients for many years now. I’ve tried many, and never really been happy with any for one reason or another…or more often, for many reasons. Outlook Express 5.0/Mac actually came pretty darn close to pleasing me interface and general behavior-wise, although the data-engine stinks and I couldn’t keep all my ever growing backlog of mail in it without performance getting horrendous.

Since my switch to Windows a couple of months ago, I’ve been using Outlook 2000. Boy, I really hate it. I like the calendar integration, but that’s about the only good thing I have to say about it. The filters do weird things, it’s a pain to manage multiple accounts, and the reply formatting behaviors are just plain wacky. It’s time for a change — anyone else stuck in Windows land have a good recommendation?

I downloaded Eudora 5 this morning, but I don’t know if I can handle it’s MDI interface. Help!
