Hopeful directions
Some are speculating that Bush could be considering taking a non-traditional stance on Drug policy, in light of some changes among the Republican ranks at the state level. I certain hope that’s true.
Ok, I harp on this a bit, but I truly believe the Drug War is far more destructive than drugs would ever be if they were treated as a health problem. I don’t think that realization is going to overwhelm the public anytime soon, but I do think that the governments at the state level are become aware of the fact that it’s not sustainable policy. If the economics of it force that realization, so be it.
