Buy my stuff!
Decided it’s time to make some changes to my musical equipment…So I’ve put some stuff on eBay.
First, my 1940s Gibson Jumbo Acoustic. I’ve had it for about 10 years, I love the guitar, but it’s never really suited my style of play very well. I want something with a smaller body — probably a Martin 000-body style, which I plan to buy with the proceeds of the sale.
Second, my 1960s Gibson Falcon tube amp. It’s a sweet little amp, not very loud but with a nice clean sound. I hardly ever play my electric, and have another amp, so I decided I could part with this one, too, to add to the Martin fund.
Bid ‘em up! The guitars already met the reserve in 12 hours on eBay!

Went out to Dallas to do some guitar shopping yesterday. It’s really tough to commit to a new instrument…I played Martins, Taylors and a Larrivee.
All were nice instruments…with full sound and relatively easy, clean actions. All in the $800-1200 price range, for the stripped down models — which are basically the same structure and the higher end models, with fewer decorative inlays and bindings.
It’ll take another trip or two to decide, I’m sure. After you play 5-6 guitars, it’s difficult to remember which one had the nice action, and which one had the best body shape feel, etc.
