Special K & the Hives
Well, I broke out in hives last night…odd, uncomfortable and disconcerting. Never had an outbreak like that before, not sure what I was exposed to, but they seem to be clearing up now. It might be the Tea Tree oil Kt’s using in the homemade diaper wipes we started using yesterday. I’m going to use other wipes for a few days then try the homemade ones again and see if that’s it.
Special K ( my new nickname for Keegan ) slept well last night, which was a relief. Asher’s been a complete super-baby. Eats regularly, sleeps great between feedings at night, etc…but Keegan was a little slow on the uptake on eating and has been a bit high-need at night. I’ve ended up sitting up with him several nights because he’ll cry when left alone in the cradle. Last night he was no problem though…way to go, K! I think he’s finally sorting out night and day, which are meaningless concepts to the newborn.
Both the twins and Mom have mastered feedings now, too, which is awesome. She’s hooking ‘em up at the same time easily now — which cuts in half the time she’s got to spend nursing. It’s really quite a sight to behold. Kt’s a great Mom!
