ACC - Big Ten Challenge
Tuesday night should be the first really great night of college basketball for this season, with two matchups that are part of the ACC - Big Ten Challenge series — which also happen to showcase my favorite team, and Kt’s favorite team.
Maryland (#5) will face Illinios (#2) and Duke (#1) will face Iowa (#8). Didn’t check yet, but I’m assuming this double header will be on ESPN. The real meat of the season doesn’t start until January when conference play begins, but some of these big early season matchups are interesting previews of what’s to come.
I’m extra excited about college hoops this year, because for the first time I’ll be going to the some of the NCAA tournament games — the first and second round of the Western division are being held in Dallas and we’ve got tickets! On top of that, the Terps are looking better than ever going into this season. I’m sure Kt will disagree, but I think her Duke boys may be in for some rough waters this year.
