AT&T Sucks
Anybody know anything about the laws governing Telcos? At work, we’ve been in a billing dispute with AT&T for the better part of a year now…largely involving them being completely incompetent and non-responsive to the issue.
In the meantime, we’ve switched our voice T1 to Sprint, and have local service all through Verizon. None of our numbers are still in AT&T’s control. They, however, threatened to cutoff our service for non-payment. This being the same service with asked them to cancel 4 months ago via certified letter, fax, and voice communication with 3 or more individuals in their business division.
We didn’t think a whole lot of it, but they did “cutoff” the non-existent service. The result? Although none of our numbers are in their control, if you dial our main business number of main fax number from inside the AT&T network, you get a disconnected number message. This just has to violate FCC or some other regulations. If Telco could block such traffic at their own discretion, it would be a complete nightmare for everyone.
We’re obviously going to have to get the lawyer after them immediately, because throughout this whole process we can’t get anyone over their to even call us back. Argh!
