Wish us luck…we’re installing ceramic tile floor in the kitchen and breakfast nook this weekend. It’ll be a lot of work, but it’s going to be a big relief to have it done since we’ve been living with dirty, bare concrete in the breakfast nook for several months now.

The tile has been laid. We were hoping to tile Saturday and grout Sunday, but we didn’t get that far. As usual, the prep work took a bit longer than expected — and some of the help we had lined up ditched on us. But thanks to Gran and Pappy’s excellent and reasonably priced babysitting service, we were able to get all the tile laid this weekend. Grouting and grout sealing will be accomplished sometime this week. It’s looking really nice. I’ll post pictures soon.
