Keegan’s arm

Poor Keegan had a tough weekend. Friday night we were out at the park and he and Kt took a fall at the bottom of the slide. Kt took the brunt of the fall, but Keegan did get his arm stretched out and catch it on the ground. We got it X-rayed on Saturday, and he has a small “buckle facture” on his ulna. He’s got to go into the pediatric othopedist today and get a splint/cast on it.

On top of that, he was running a fever most of the weekend and was generally cranky from that, too. He’s a trooper and doesn’t seem too put off by the arm hurting, although you tell he ain’t too happy about having his new-found mobility hindered.

Kt feels horrible about it, although it’s really not her fault…stuff happens, as they say. She got the idea from me, anyway, as I went down the slide with Asher first.

Update: Keegan is feeling much better today. In fact, so much so that it was hard to get him to bed because he just wanted to party ( Asher, too, which is pretty incredible since he didn’t nap all day ). Kt took Keegan to the othopedist (SP?) this afternoon. He didn’t think it needed a cast, it was so minor and it should be totally healed on it’s own in a couple of weeks.

    Greg,

Sorry to hear about you son’s injury. I hope it doesn’t cause him too much discomfort.

    Don
