Chop, shoot and till
Spent Saturday getting baseboards cut and installed for our hallway and kitchen…finally just about have all the molding work done, just a few little pieces to do, some caulk and spackle, and the house will have recovered from the new flooring projects. I went ahead and bought a nailgun/compressor kit — as I’ve been [...]

White Shadow
ESPN’s Bill Simmons has written a great tribute to Bruce Paltrow, in the form of an appreciation for his show, The White Shadow. I feel a lot of the same things about that show that Bill does. I watched it every week — and I was only 10! I don’t know if [...]

Yikes!
Five people have been randomly killed in the neighborhood I grew up in. Scary. My parents still live in that area…according to Mom, she was actual in two of the exact locations of the shootings on Tuesday morning.

New windows in Mozilla

Recycling
Well, the City of Denton, Texas, has finally decided to steam headfirst into the 20th century and implement residential curbside recycling! We got our container yesterday. It’s got wheels, I like that.

Jonasay
One of my old friends (and band-mates!) Mike Leach’s band, Jonasay has made the Top 50 Finalists in the Coca-Cola New Music Award Competition. The winner will get to play at the American Music Awards in January. Pretty cool…check them out, they play really good straight-up pop music with great hooks. The [...]
