Returned G5
Gack, a friend at work bought a G5…and he returned it! Bad, bad…very bad.
I understand why he did. He’s a switcher, who runs a wedding photography business. The G5 had issues with his USB 2.0 devices. After every boot, it would work with them once ( like for one scan ) and then fail to recognize any of the devices. Probably driver issues, or maybe issues with the new USB 2.0 implementation on the G5…but time consuming for him to troubleshoot, and he was getting behind on work.
He still wants to switch, but wants to wait and try again in the Spring, when some of these issues will likely be resolved.
I’m just having trouble trying to figure out how someone could get there hands on one of those beauties and let it slip away.
