Palma Sutra
I can’t believe this exists. Ok, I can believe it. It’s just funny. The comments on that page are great….
Hey, if you select your “favorites” positions, of a similiar type, and then scroll through them quickly, it is a sort of animation. It’s amazing what you discover at 3:00 AM!!!
This is one [...]

Bride of Frankenstein
I plan to watch Bride of Frankenstein tonight on TCM (9:30 EST/8:30 CST). It’s my favorite of the Universal Studios horror films…stronger than the first in so many ways.
If you haven’t seen the original Frankenstein, it’s also showing immediately before Bride…and is recommended viewing….but, Bride takes it to another level. Bride is masterful [...]

Panther and Active Directory
Just connected my first Panther client to Active Directory. It was easy. No server-side work was required as was the case prior to Panther. Just enabled the Active Directory plugin in Applications/Utilities/Directory Access and followed a couple steps in the help file to enter the right info, and enable authentication against AD. [...]

Signed mail
I just setup a certificate to sign my mail from my primary address following these directions. I think it’s a good idea…though it’s not broadly supported yet. The email system needs a lot of help, but signing and encrypting are good steps in the right direction.

Panther, the upgrade test
Ok, tonight Panther will get it’s real test. Upgrading Kt’s iMac. I installed Panther on the new G5 as an upgrade…but it was a brand new box with nothing on it. I wiped the drive before installing on this machine at work. And neither of those computers have any peripherals to [...]

Good Palm software
Well, I’m now up and running with my Treo 300, anyone have any recommendations for Palm software? I’ve had a Palm that Dell gave me with a computer awhile ago, but I’ve never really used it much. Just wondering if there’s any killer apps or games out there that I just must install.

The Ex’s Beanie Babies
This eBay item is too funny…my favorite quote, “I don’t think my ex-wife was in the Black Market Beanie Trade..but then again, I didn’t know she was having an affair either! Thus no gauruntees [SIC]!”

Panther impressions
It’s faster. I’ve installed in on a Rev. A iMac (233, 2 meg VRAM) and it’s much more responsive than Jaguar was on the same machine.
Expose is cool. I’m afraid it’s still a bit confusing to use the “show-all” feature, since I often have a _lot_ of windows open — but I will [...]

iCal event searching?
I’m I brain dead, or is there no way to search events in iCal? I use my calendar to track a lot not just upcoming events, but historical data. This would be a useful feature.

Lightning strikes Christ
What an odd story on CNN…1/2 because of the subject matter, 1/2 for it’s dry, anecdotal brevity.

I want my Panther!
What was I thinking? I had Panther shipped to my house. I’m not at my house yet, I’m at work! I don’t want to wait!

It’s really is big. Fast, too…so I’m not complaining.

RE: Bonded Lightning Protection
Oh, I forgot to mention…I was doing some tweaks to the Bonded site, and then validated it using the W3C validator last thing before “going live” — and, for the first time in my life, the darn thing came back the first time and said “This page is valid X-HTML 1.0″. It’s a pretty [...]
