NPR and commuting
I’ve found that now that I have a longer commute, I’m a much better informed person on a variety of topics. Thanks, NPR!
( Besides, now I can have better conversations with my friend Jamie, who often starts a discussion with, “The other day, on NPR…”

Cool. I’m known as the NPR guy among most of my friends.
All Things Considered is definitely my favorite news show. Other
favorites include Talk of the Nation (especially TotN Science Friday),
Car Talk, Morning Edition, MarketPlace (which is technically not NPR,
but PRI), and –of course– PHC.
I’m an NPR junkie, I rarely listen to anything else, and know where to
tune in everywhere from Boston (WBUR or WGBH) to New York (WNYC… duh).

….and I thought it was only people over 50 who quoted NPR all the time!
Wait, Greg, wasn’t it you who told me that?
I agree that it is a great source of interesting information, and a variety
of different perspectives on issues.
