The Bottom Line + CBGB

Well, I just followed up, and the effort to save the Bottom Line Cabaret was unsuccessful. Too bad. My old alma-mater, NYU, ate it up. Doesn’t really surprise me, it’s location already seemed hopelessly overwhelmed by the university when I was there in the 80s.

Made me pang for my NY days a little. In general support of the music history of the city, I went over to CBGB’s site and ordered a t-shirt. I actually worked at CB’s for a semester or so while I was going to school. I wonder if good old Hilly (the founder) it still sitting at that same cluttered desk near the entrance.
