Damn good deals
I just got a call from Dell. Clearly from their “overseas” operation in India. They were trying to sell me peripherals and such to go with the systems I’ve purchased. It was the oddest conversation I’ve had in some time. The guy clearly had a script to work from, but it seemed like a script written in India. He went on about how appreciative Dell was of the “businesses that are coming from us”, etc. It was awkward, but very formal. Finally started LOL when he explained that because those “businesses that are coming from us” he could offer me deals I would not believe on peripherals. “For example,” he said, “surely you are looking for flat panel monitors for your systems. Dell has damn good deals for me to give to you.”
