Wireless network connection is not connected

Well, this was no surprise to me, but XP SP2 seems really concerned about it. Anytime I boot my laptop and wireless is not available, it tells me about it with an annoying balloon up by the taskbar. I figured it was a new setting, so I dug around in the wireless network properties, and unchecked “Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity” — but it’s just not taking the hint! Oh well, what’s one more minor windows annoyance in the grand scheme.

I’ve got the same problem. Has anyone found a way to disable this annoying balloon popup?

Below what I am Typing, I see a message. It says: “Bad Behavior has blocked 408 access attempts in the last 7 days.” Obviously a lot of people are looking for an answer to this question. You should have let them post.

This is the best answer I could find:

Have you tried disabling all of your balloon tips?

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
    Advanced

Create a Reg_DWord value called EnableBalloonTips. Data of 0 disables ALL tips.
