RE: Piano
Got some info on our new piano from an expert at The Piano Page. Apparently it dates from 1909…I’ll have to remember to throw it a 100th birthday party in a few years.

DNS Report
DNS Report is a neat site. Pointed out a number issues I’ve got to straighten out with the domains I manage.

Don’t you mean OS 9?
Network Computing is one of a number of IT periodicals which continually refuses to drop me from their circulation statistics. I get it, and generally browse it for about 5 seconds — and do, occasionally, find something of interest in it.
This month’s article on integrating Mac with a Windows network seemed useful and topical [...]

T1 day
Today I’m turning up our two new T1s at work. One for voice, which will go live tonight. The other our main data line. I’m not actually moving into the new data T1 today, just turning it up and getting the new router configured. Not looking forward to actually moving to [...]

In the end, it was only space.
Just wasted three hours troubleshooting the virus scanning setup on my mail server, because it wasn’t properly passing files through ClamAV. The problem was a single space at the end of a line in a config file, that messed up the regex for the rule that was being executed. Argh!
While it’s [...]

The TV
It seems that I may be the only one around our house who doesn’t think we need a bigger TV right now. Which, I guess is odd. Isn’t it usually the “dad” that wants to buy those new toys? Katie came home from looking at some open houses in the neighborhood yesterday and [...]

Vox Bass
I’m selling a 1960s Vox Astro IV Bass on eBay for my father-in-law. It’s a real classic he came across in an estate sale.
