iTunes re-mastering
Inspired by a conversation with Sean this morning, I busted out the old tape deck, and set it up to digify some of my old recordings. These instructions were very helpful, and now I’m cranking out a couple of good sounding re-masters of those old tunes. I’ll post some soon.

Excellent! Looking forward to
hearing more of your vintage tuneage.

Here’s my first two tracks dredged from the vault, or rather from the cassette. These are circa 1987-8 and are among my early experiments with a cassette 4-track and drum machine. These particular tracks are solo ventures. I did all the instruments, production, etc. The first is probably a product of an Eno phase. The second defies description, really, and may fuel a viable argument that recording devices should have a special chip that makes them stop function around 2am.

This is rad! I really like the rat song… the dynamics are cool, the instruments are all right on… The ending is *great* …

Hey, your digital remastering worked out nicely. Impressive
signal/noise ratio for something coming off an old four-track
recording.
I particularly enjoyed the ending of The Rat Song too.
Keep ‘em coming!
