eBaying the LPs: Elvis, Woody, Frank, Sleepy and Jesus
Here’s the newest lot of my LPs on eBay:
- Elvis Presley: Set of three LPs. A cool picture LP, the Christmas LP with original photo album gatefold sleeve, and Double Trouble — to my mind the finest of his soundtrack albums.
- Woody Allen: 2 LP collection of his 60s standup routines. Great fun. Easy to forget that Woody was a fine standup in his day.
- Frank Zappa: Tinseltown Rebellion and 200 Motels. Two of Zappa’s many indulgent 2 lp sets. As usual, lots of gems buried in a mis-mash of non-gems.
- Sleepy LaBeef: If you don’t know who Sleepy is, he’s a bit hard to explain. A rockabilly legend. Very much like the Ramones of rockabilly. Barely stops one song before he launched into the next. Always short concise and to the point. And he’s also about 6′ 7″ and 300+ pounds which really adds punch to his deep bass vocals. This is gold vinyl LP on Sun Records.
- Jesus Christ Superstar: That’s right ladies and gents, both the original cast and movie soundtrack 2 LP sets with original booklets! Snap ‘em up while you can. I prefer the original cast myself.

Looks like my Sleepy LaBeef Gold Vinyl LP is worth more than I realized. That’s the fun of eBay.
