Offensive Ad of the Month

We got this card in the mail from the local “alternative” radio station yesterday. Not only is Santa drinking whiskey and about to get a lap dance on the cover, there’s a Santa mug shot on the inside of the card. What incredibly bad taste.

Back in ‘98 (+/- 1 year), I listened to KDGE every day from work. They
broadcast their station live (and free) on the ‘net, I think in Real
format. IIRC, they shut that down once the radio stations had to pay
fees for online broadcasting. Too bad, I really liked their playlists,
and I found the commercials interesting too… very, very different
from what we get on Canadian radio stations, even “alternative” ones.

Unfortunately, they are just another mechanized Clear Channel crapola
station these days. They were somewhat better in the mid-90s.
