More squid tweaking
Thanks to Seth’s help to make a minor tweak in Conversant and an offlist assist from Andrew Sawyer at Zope Corporation on my squid.conf, my new server setup now takes greater advantage of Squid, and caches most everything it’s allowed to…with proper respect for HTTP Vary header generated by Conversant. Sweet!

Port 25 filters
SBC has just put port 25 filters on my DSL line. Gack. It seems all ISPs are doing this, and I guess they are seeing it block enough traffic to make it worthwhile, but I have a hard time believing anyone serious about sending spam can manage to use an alternate port. [...]
