Father’s day

I had a nice Father’s day yesterday. I got sleep late ( well, 8am, but that’s late by my standards ), and when I got up the boys presented me a nice coaster with a turtle on it, wrapped in construction paper. They got it at the Zoo. Kt made muffins. We went out to take Kt’s Dad fishing with the boys at a local pond. The boys weren’t all that interested in the fishing until we started feeding our catch to the egret that was chumming up to us. That was one hungry bird, too. I didn’t realize an egret could stomach 5 perch at once.

I took two naps.

We went to the Fort Worth Cat’s minor league game in the evening. It was the boy’s first baseball game. They’re a bit young for the slow pace of baseball, but they enjoyed the cotton candy and meeting the mascot. And the urinals. The boys still think it’s a great treat to go in a urinal — particularly one that it low enough for them to reach without assistance. I took Keegan to the restroom first, and we walked in, he saw the urinal and said, “Look, a urinal just our size! I wish Asher was here to see it.” Whatever floats your boat. Kt and I are pretty much happy as long as they are going someplace that’s actually designated for that purpose.

Thanks to Mommy and the boys for my Father’s day!
