Just to followup on my tooth, it was amazingly painless. I had dull pain on Friday from it, but by Saturday I really had no pain at all. It sort of bothered me yesterday, but it wasn't pain, it was more about the weird feeling of that part of my mouth being a different shape.

> Well, that's just it, I have no pain from it. When and if I do, I'll
> get it removed, but for now, I think I'll let sleeping teeth lay.

Heck yeah!

> The pain killer is kicking in. I think I'll be napping pretty soon,
> but I'll keep that in mind for later! :-)

The first time they gave me Tylenol 3, it was the strongest
painkiller I'd ever had. (I usually refuse to take pills when I'm in
pain but after a few days of anguish I finally conceded ;-)) The
second time all I got was ibuprofen... didn't do much unfortunately.

I hope you have something good. :-)

Jim

> I had one of my wisdom teeth removed this morning. Seemed to go
> OK, but the local is only now wearing off, so I'm not sure how much
> it's going to hurt. This one was partially grown in, and, being
> difficult to clean, had developed a cavity. They were trying to
> convince me to have another out on the other side at the same time,
> but I'm not so sure about it. It's totally impacted, in fact the
> tooth is totally horizontal down below the skin and I just can't
> imagine getting it out so I think I'll wait.

I just had that done in May, exact same situation (the one you didn't
get removed, that is). They get it out, believe me. :)

How they did it.... (I think)

They slice open your gums, drill the tooth so they can break it into
a few pieces, pull out the pieces, put in some horrible tasting
packing stuff so you don't get dry socket, then stitch up your gums.
