Best Buy or Best Lie?
Nice post about how difficult it has become to buy something from Best Buy. I experienced this when I needed to pick up a hub the other day. I needed some Cat5 cables, also, and my jaw almost dropped clear off my face when I saw that all they had were “Geek Squad Premium” Ethernet cables, priced at $24.95 for a single 15′ cable!!!!!! This is a cable I would order all day long from CDW for about $4 each. Their cable cost more than the 5-port Netgear 10/100 switch in my hand. Anyway, I passed on the cables, as you might imagine. They were still overpriced down the strip at Office Max, but not nearly that bad. I think I’m done with Best Buy.
