I won. Have fun, Seth!

Well, I was lucky enough to win Geoff’s contest for a free ticket to his Get Started With Rails Workshop next Thursday in New York. I would love to go, but with the short notice (and me being away for the weekend) I decided it wasn’t going to be cost effective to make the trip to New York.

Geoff was nice enough to let me transfer the ticket to a friend, so Seth is going to go in my place. He’s been needing this to get him kick started on some projects, anyway, so I hope it works out to be worthwhile for him.

I am new to ruby, and am trying to find tutorials or some help on ruby web programming (outside of the rails environment) — would appreciate a pointer or two.

I am confused about mod_ruby , fastcgi and the CGI module in ruby core. Which to use ? Is there any article for newcomers.

I have rails installed with lighttpd (on a Powerbook) am not sure how to use lighttpd (independently).

Please mail me if you could at the above mail or at rahul_kumar @ yahoo.com. thanks a lot.
