I am new to ruby, and am trying to find tutorials or some help on ruby web programming (outside of the rails environment) -- would appreciate a pointer or two.

I am confused about mod_ruby , fastcgi and the CGI module in ruby core. Which to use ? Is there any article for newcomers.

I have rails installed with lighttpd (on a Powerbook) am not sure how to use lighttpd (independently).

Please mail me if you could at the above mail or at rahul_kumar @ yahoo.com. thanks a lot.
