Last day
Well, after several months of hiring, transition and general ramp up for my own enterprise, today is finally my last day as an employee of ALT Fabrication. I’m not sure it feels all that monumental right at the moment, but it definitely going to be a change. I’ve come close to leaving several times in the past, but have been here for a total of 11 years now. That’s not much shy of 1/3 of my life. They gave me a nice cake and send off yesterday, and are now up to 3 people hired to replace me!
At any rate, onward and upward. I’m already lined out with a fulltime palette of work starting next week, and I’m definitely looking forward to the elimination of the commute and the variety of projects.
