man, i’ve known three folks (myself included) that have lost their macbook HD in the last months…

Well, actually didn’t loose the drive, it’s fine, it just wasn’t big enough. It was in my wife’s MacBook Pro, and her 30 gig plus iPhoto library was overwhelming the 80 gig drive it shipped with.
