ESPN.com Scoreboard
ESPN’s NCAA Scoreboard got a nice update this year. No more 30 second refreshes, it’s now updated via javascript, and flashes score changes and time updates. Very nice.

Dern Terps
They went and lost to Clemson for the third time this season. Looks like no NCAA for my boys this year.

Go Terps!
My boys have had a rough season so far, but tonight they knocked off unbeaten Duke, at Duke. Go Terps!

NCAA Game Stats
The scores and live game stats for the NCAA tournament at CBS Sportline are an incredible piece of work. Go to that link, and click on “Live Game Stats” for a game that’s in progress. You get a nice scoreboard, the last ten plays in a play-by-play format, as well as current box [...]

Go TERPS!!!!
My boys had quite a weekend in the ACC tournament. After a rough season of ups and downs, they looked incredibly strong beating three top 20 teams in three days — including mounting the biggest comeback in ACC tourney history, coming back from 21 down against NC State on Saturday. They played their [...]

MD vs. Duke
My Terps made a good effort down the stretch, but couldn’t quite catch Duke…oh, well. Young team. Lots of young team type mistakes…this team could really be good next year.

Looks like there’s hope for my terps this year.

Mavericks
I’m starting to believe the Maverick’s could win the NBA championship after last night’s win. Though I love basketball, I am not a big NBA fan…but come playoff time I usually start watching some. And, since the local team has been good, I pay a little more attention.
They say you can’t win the [...]

I hope they don’t mess up ACC basketball. That would really blow.

Wild Duke - Wake game
Wake Forest beat Duke in double OT last night, in what had to be one of the oddest games I can remember. 8 players fouled out, with a total of 64 fouls called in the game. Many were good calls..many were very borderline calls, some were just bad calls. At any rate, [...]

MD over Duke
I’ve been kinda slow to get into College Basketball this year, not sure why…but it was fun to watch my Terps beat #1 Duke on Saturday. ![]()

All-Star tie
I can’t say I watch baseball anymore. I still like going to games, but it’s become a pretty boring sport. The ultimate evidence of this happened last night when the All-Star Game was declared a tie and stopped after 11 innings. How lame is that?
They did it for the “player’s [...]

NBA draft
The NBA draft was last night…we had it on the TV off and on. It’s not really all that interesting, but I like to see where some of the college players I’ve watched end up.
I was glad to see my Maryland boys do pretty well. Juan Dixon went to the Wizards [...]

PETA and the NCAA
PETA successfully lobbied the NCAA to stop using real leather basketballs in their tournaments next year. I don’t really have strong feelings about this one way or the other, I’m sure the non-leather balls are just as good…I do think it’s hardly a very important issue.
I really don’t think it’s saving any animals any [...]
